My Divorce and Family Law Practice
I work closely with men and women at all stages of a contested or uncontested divorce, from the decision to file, to mediation or trial, to post-judgment requests for modification or enforcement of a court order. I handle all matters related-to or arising-out-of divorce, including:
- Child custody and parenting plans. I will help you develop and put in place custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your minor children while protecting your rights as a parent. I also handle relocation requests. See my page on child custody and relocation for more.
- Child support. I will help you ensure that any proposed support order is in compliance with state guidelines and that all relevant income is included in the calculation.
- Spousal support or alimony. I will help you determine whether alimony is warranted and, if so, the amount, frequency and duration of payments. To learn more, see my page on spousal maintenance.
- Division of marital property. I will help you equitably divide the debts and assets of your marriage, including real and personal property, bank accounts and investments, retirement funds and business interests. As a licensed real estate broker, I can provide strong advice on many of the most critical property issues in a divorce.
- Paternity disputes. I will represent either side in a paternity action, and will handle any custody, visitation or support issues that may arise.
I have handled contested divorces in Alaska, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Montana, Texas, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, Florida, Canada and Germany. I have also worked with service personnel stationed at Monthan-Davis Air Force Base, handling the unique issues that arise in a military divorce.
